Meeting of Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Vahan Kostanyan with Director-General for Political Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands Marcel de Vink
14 October, 2025On October 13, during a visit to The Hague, Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Vahan Kostanyan had a meeting with the Director-General for Political Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of the Netherlands Marcel de Vink.
The parties noted with satisfaction the dynamics of the Armenia-Netherlands political dialogue and the high level of bilateral cooperation in the areas enshrined in the Declaration of Strategic Partnership.
Vahan Kostanyan highly appreciated the Netherlands’ support for the development of trade capacities and the expansion of access to the European market, as well as the additional financial allocation to the Republic of Armenia within the framework of the World Bank’s Global Concessional Financing Facility.
The Deputy Foreign Minister emphasized that Armenia greatly values cooperation with the Netherlands also within the framework of the Armenia-EU partnership, as well as briefed the interlocutor on the steps undertaken by the Government of Armenia following the adoption of the law "On the launch of the process of Armenia's accession to the European Union", aimed at deepening the partnership with the European Union, providing a detailed overview of the reform agenda.
The organizational process of the European Political Community Summit to be held in Armenia in 2026 was also touched upon.
Vahan Kostanyan briefed on the agreements reached in Washington on August 8, 2025, emphasizing the importance of the established peace in the context of the sustainable development of the region and the unblocking communications.
